With the rapid growth of Hyrox has come hundreds of people offering training programs and coaching. As a result, we’ve seen a number of people asking who is the best coach for Hyrox and what program they should be following. Well, the answer is that there’s genuinely no best coach…
The best coach for me is not necessarily the best coach for you. Your best bet for finding the perfect coach for you is research: check out the coach’s experience, what they specialise in, who their athletes are, their demands in terms of time commitment and current skill level, their training style, and how much they charge.
One of the biggest choices you will need to make when it comes to online coaching is whether you choose to go for a rolling group/template based program or an individualised program. Group/template programs are typically cheaper as the coach is investing less time into you specifically, but instead coming up with a training program for a group of people. An individualised program will be written specifically for you. How custom this is will depend on the coach, but generally you’ll have at least a monthly consultation with your coach to talk about your goals, training level, time-constraints, and they’ll program with all of this in mind.
An area I think is often overlooked, but at least as important as the above, is the type of communication and interaction the coach/group offers. Some people love group training because you often get the option of joining a Facebook Group or using Leaderboards to compare scores, ask questions, moan about how horrible workouts were, share success, and have a team of people pushing you on. Others are less keen on this, but want a coach they can DM/call to ask questions about how to attack a workout, seek motivation, change their workout on the fly, or even cry to after the worst day ever in the gym.
With so many coaches offering programs, we wanted to put together a list of coaches we follow and respect a great deal offering affordable group training plans. Although we haven’t completed each and every program below, we’ve taken a great deal of time to speak with Hyrox athletes following them, research the coaches designing them, look into what style of plans they are offering, their communication methods, and more besides.
We hope it’s useful and if we’ve missed anyone out, drop it in the comments or send us a DM on Insta. Equally, if any coaches want to reach out to expand on what we’ve written below or add their names then please do!
RMR – Rich Ryan, Megan Jacoby & Ryan Kent
Imagine if you could have access to a coaching team made up of one Hyrox World Champion and two Hyrox Elite Athletes… Well that’s exactly what you get with RMR!
RMR is a daily training program written by Rich Ryan, Megan Jacoby and Ryan Kent. These three athletes are well known for their meticulous programming and experimentation with training methods, and this program gives you access to their latest understanding around what works. In fact, one of the most useful and interesting parts of RMR is that there’s an accompanying podcast released on a weekly basis. Not only do you get the chance to know your coaches better, but you hear them speak for around an hour on why they are currently programming/training the way they are.
In terms of the programming itself, there’s a clear structure to your week. With all three RMR members having extremely high-level running backgrounds, you’ll find intelligent running progressions make up the foundation of the plan. Alongside this running, you’ll get a good blend of hybrid workouts and strength sessions that form a well-rounded program. Rich seems to prefer longer threshold workouts, Megan shorter but more intense WODS, and Ryan hybrid-brick work or finishers – all three make an appearance. I’d also point out that pound-for-pound, Megan is probably one of the strongest athletes in Hyrox and the strength work certainly seems inspired by her way of training. I found the progressive Hyrox threshold workouts where you rotate between running and hybrid exercises for longer and longer durations each week massively improved my compromised running and race confidence.
A few added bonuses with RMR is that by joining not only do you get access to their daily program, but a hybrid running program, Megan Jacoby’s favourite workouts, Ryan Kent’s 10 week build, 12-week Deka and 12-week Hyrox preps, and more besides. There’s also an active Facebook Group with regular challenges and meetups at events. And the programming is one of the cheapest available at $14.99 a month.

The Lousa Way – Tiago Lousa
Tiago Lousa has assembled perhaps the scariest team of podium athletes in the whole of Hyrox, including World Champion Alexander Rončević. This speaks volumes about him as a person, because to be trusted to lead such a large group of athletes capable of making the Elite 15 you need to know what you’re doing.
In addition to this Elite Group (which is invitation only), Tiago offers a ‘Pro/Intermediate’ Level of group coaching. This program takes the same concepts and structure Tiago uses to train his Elite Team, but brings it down a notch so that it’s more manageable in terms of volume. Don’t think this means it is easy though, Tiago’s program is written with the aim of getting people to a sub-70 minute Hyrox time.
In terms of programming style, I think Tiago is very tuned-in to the demands of the sport. There’s lots of running at different speeds and heavy strength sessions, but equally you have a lot of time spent doing mixed modality work. One thing I liked to see is that you’re not only doing things you see in Hyrox – you’ll also pick-up barbells and dumbbells from time-to-time, do some gymnastics and hit the bike. It’s very well-rounded and is a program that focuses heavily on really pushing your endurance to top levels.
The Lousa Way is a Group Program where you follow a rolling program. You will peak for certain events (although Tiago does offer advice if you can’t make the event the team is going to) and you’ll have different priorities throughout the year. Being in a group, you have the ability to speak with other team members and see a leaderboard.

HAOS Training – Hunter McIntyre
Hunter McIntyre is probably the only name on this list that people outside of Hyrox will recognise. Hunter is well known across Hybrid sports, whether that is Hyrox, CrossFit or OCR. Unlike most athletes in Hyrox that tend to have a very humble online presence, Hunter is well-known for his loud personality that can come across as ‘trolling’, but is more often just the supreme confidence that comes with being a dominant World Champion in multiple sports.
Hunter actually retired from Hyrox a few years ago after becoming World Champion and smashing his existing Hyrox World Record. A big reason for this retirement was so that he could invest time into his programming platform called ‘HAOS’.
Because Hunter is so outgoing, it’s easy to under-estimate just how smart he is. Hunter has worked with some of the best coaches in the world and obsessively researched all kinds of world-class athletes to find what has worked for them and add it to his program. As he begins building back following a disappointing 2023/2024 season (by his standards), it’s an exciting time for HAOS members who want to follow the training of someone really looking to make a huge statement in 2024/2025.
HAOS offers a Pro and OCR track that each vary a lot throughout the year, but often go through Hyrox cycles and Ultimate Engine cycles. Both contains lots of strength training, WODs, Hyrox-specific work, EMOMs, running, compromised running and always felt very familiar to me as someone who has done Crossfit. It’s very well suited to someone who likes a lot of volume, a good amount of variety, and don’t want to be overly Hyrox specific all year round. They also have perhaps the most active and supportive community of all the programs listed. Their Facebook Group has hundreds, if not thousands, of posts a month.

Team Hogan Coaching – Dena & Tom Hogan
Introducing the Hyrox Power Couple. When you think about how many people compete in Hyrox (hundreds of thousands!), it’s incredible to think that husband and wife – Tom and Dena Hogan – each made the Elite 15 as individuals. There’s often an argument that the best athletes in a sport like Hyrox are genetically gifted, but I think Tom and Dena show it can be as simple as hard work and intelligent training.
Dena and Tom have a strong running/endurance background and wide-ranging experience in coaching people to get fit. They provide athletes with a good blend of strength and running, but the best part of their coaching has to be the creatively brutal, but fair workouts they come up with that offer you that ‘oh s**t’ feeling a Hyrox gives.
Dena and Tom are some of the most friendly and recognisable people on the Hyrox scene. They make a point of showing up to events year round and even volunteering (when not competing!). I know Dena and Tom run a very lively Facebook Group for their athletes and are incredibly responsive to their clients via message and often promote their hard work (or joke with them) through Instagram stories. So, if you want a friendly coach who’ll push your hard, but you can also share some banter with then Team Hogan should be on your shortlist.

Team Frison Coaching – Markus Frison & Dylan Scott
Markus landed on everyone’s radar when he won the HYROX Virtual Championships. Covid meant Hyrox had to move online and they ran a competition fairly similar to the Crossfit Open. Markus surprised even himself by beating out former Hyrox champions and decided to transition from Crossfit to Hyrox.
What’s interesting about Markus is that he does not have the running background that so many Hyrox Athletes have. His background is a distant high-level cycling career, more recent power-lifting achievements, and then dedicated Crossfit training. Markus was one of the strongest competitors on the stations, but had to really ramp the running up in order to catch many of his competitors who had been running in some cases their whole lives. This ‘tried and tested’ aspect of Markus’s programming should serve as motivation to other athletes who may be stronger or have a Crossfitting background as Markus’s running is now up there with the best of them.
Quite recently, Markus teamed up with multiple-time Elite Hyrox athlete and hugely-popular personality Dylan Scott. Dylan now works on the programming alongside Markus and brings with him the knowledge that has seen him achieve Podium spots and World Championships across the individual, doubles and relay divisions. If you follow Markus and Dylan on social media, you may think that their methods could clash somewhat, but actually when you listen to them speak via their podcast, you understand that both believe heavily in building solid foundations in aerobic fitness and strength before refining your power output to match your sport.
Together, their coaching style is all based on progressive overload and periodisation – essentially tried and tested methods of progressing your fitness/strength overtime.

The Hybrid Engine – Lauren Weeks & Anthony Peressini
You could think of husband and wife team Lauren Weeks and Anthony Peressini as the Tia Toomey and Shane Orr of the Hyrox World. Anthony is a very smart guy with a keen understanding of sports science and his programming and ability to break down how to train for Hyrox is clearly helping Lauren reach her potential as an athlete. In the time they’ve been working together, Lauren has picked up 3 HYROX World Championships, holds the current HYROX Women’s Pro World Record, holds the current DekaFit Elite World Record, is a 4x CrossFit Regional/Semifinal Athlete, and Spartan Games Champion. Anthony is pretty fit himself, having competed as an NCAA Division 1 Wrestler. He holds qualifications as a CrossFit Level 3 (CCFT) Coach and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. Between them, Anthony and Lauren have been coaching CrossFit, Wrestling, Triathlon, and Hybrid for 12 years.
The Hybrid Engine offers two different tracks. One is called ‘The Daily Dose’ and one is called ‘T.H.E. Pro Track’. The Daily Dose is aimed at those who want about an hour a day of Hyrox/Deka style training. The Pro Track is close to what a high-level athlete such as Lauren will be doing during the Hyrox season. This is broken up into 6 sections: Warm-Up, Monostructural, GPP, Strength, Applied Strength, Extra Credit, and Gross Conditioning.
I would say that this is one of the highest volume programs available (two to four hours each day), but equally that athletes aren’t expected to do everything that is programmed every day. If you are the type of athlete who likes high volume or the ability to choose from multiple options to address your weaknesses/training preferences and make up your training week, then The Hybrid Engine’s Pro Track is some of the most well-thought out programming available. A second observation I would make is that there’s a lot of GPP and CrossFit style WODS with Anthony and Lauren believing strongly in training for General Physical Preparedness. A good example of GPP workouts featuring in The Hybrid Engine would include: 3 rounds of 10 Front Squats, 12 pull-ups. Rest 3 minutes then complete 3 rounds of: 6 power cleans, 30 wall balls. Or a chipper such as: 10 Ring Rows, 20 Dips, 30 Air Squats, 40 Box Jump Overs, 30 Air Squats, 20 Dips, 10 Ring Rows.
One final thing to say is that if you have a race coming up, The Hybrid Engine will build you a 4-9 day custom taper for your race based on you as an athlete. This is a pretty cool perk for anyone who feels unsure about what they should be doing the week or two before a race.

Team Skillen Coaching – Jade Skillen
For the past few years, Jade has been one of the most visible Hyrox athletes/coaches and worked tirelessly to promote the sport. She’s in Facebook Groups replying to posts asking for advice, uploading high-quality videos with absolutely top-quality tips, she does Instagram lives and regularly features in popular podcasts too – she comes across as being very approachable, whilst keeping all her content super slick and professional.
Jade just stepped down as the UK’s Hyrox Master Trainer, but this is only likely to boost her coaching by giving her more free time. Jade has a strong professional sporting background and brings years of knowledge having worked with some of the world’s top coaches. She works with the ‘every workout should have a purpose’ philosophy and places strong emphasis on getting athletes used to ‘compromised running’. I hear the weekly mindset sessions Jade holds for her athletes are transformational. She has multiple coaching options that range from more templated options (HYROX PERFORM) all the way through to a mentorship that covers not only your training, but mindset and nutrition too (HYROX COMPETE).
Jade has a strong background in Hybrid racing as a former Spartan Pro and is herself competing as one of the top women in Hyrox today. Her stacked client-base has included people like Rebecca Mason (Elite 15 athlete), Ciaran Parkinson (British Record Holder) and Beatrice Ardelt (Elite 15 Athlete). In total, Jade has coached hundreds of Podium Athletes and World Championship Qualifiers. If you are looking for an incredibly knowledgeable coach with a strong sporting pedigree and ability to push and motivate you to new levels then drop Jade a message.

Culcha Programming – Tim Wenisch
Culcha Programming is a training platform founded by Tim Wenisch. Prior to a serious injury, Tim Wenisch was on an absolute tear in the Hyrox World. He and Michael Sandbach set a world record in the Doubles division, and Tim was regularly winning races with sub-60 times when sub-60 was an anomaly. In his brief 2024 comeback, Tim came third in the Hyrox European Championship, finishing ahead of popular competitors such as James Kelly and Graham Halliday.
With Culcha, you will find yourself doing Hyrox sims once a week and your training around this will include regular strength sessions, running sessions, and then Crossfit style WODs. It’s a nice variety of work and should stop athletes ever getting bored. In fact, this is one of Tim’s main aims with his programming. He aims to ensure that athletes enjoy their programming so that they remain committed and happy along their Hyrox journey.
Culcha Programming offers a few unique aspects, which I think really makes their coaching worth considering. First, they offer a huge array of programming options that range from running plans to Hyrox Open plans to Hyrox Pro Plans with each workout inside the individual plan giving you times you should be aiming for during the workout. Second, they offer programs for teams, so if you have a partner you’re training with for a doubles event then you can sign up and get your workouts for doubles competition. I feel Doubles and Individual are very different races and so the ability to have a program tailored to you as a doubles competitor is excellent.

JK Hybrid Training – James Kelly
A few years ago, James was running a Hybrid Training business in Australia that he wanted to make a name for… So, he turned up in the UK and took first place in his first ever Hyrox race – in the Pro division of the biggest ever event no less! A year later, James finished 3rd with one of the most talked about performances in the 2024 Hyrox World Championships. As people began fading towards the end of the race, James soared.
James takes the ‘volume is king’ approach to training and I think that’s why he has done so well in Hyrox. His workouts are often long and grueling, just like a Hyrox. Crossfit fans will be familiar with the phrase “Hard Work Pays Off” and every time I see a workout pasted by James or his athletes I can see this is how he trains. Long EMOMs of ERG work hitting calorie targets or functional movements hitting repetition numbers seem to be a staple. I also see him run regular ‘test’ workouts to ensure he and his athletes are progressing.
It’s worth noting that James has his own style of ‘Hybrid Training’ and he has been doing this for quite a few years. So, although he is relatively new to the Hyrox scene, he has been successfully competing in Hybrid Sports and coaching Hybrid Athletes for a good few years. I’d also point out that James is one of the most active athletes on social media with regular Vlogs on YouTube as well, so it’s very easy to feel you know the guy. He comes across as incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Hyrox and training more broadly.
Until recently, James only offered individualised programming. However, just a few months ago, James launched a group programming option that includes not only his intelligent methods of coaching via the FITR app, but weekly video calls on set topics and even a weekly video where you see him take on a prescribed workout live with feedback afterwards.

Pele Performance – Pelayo Menendez Fernandez & Elena Rouco Chas
Pelayo Menendez Fernandez was one of the most improved athletes last season. He went from hitting Pro and Open podiums in 2022/2023 to being an Elite-level podium threat not only in the Hyrox Majors, but the Hyrox World Championships in 2023/2024 as well. His partner, Elena, is a talented athlete in her own right, having taken a podium spot at the 2023/2024 European Championships, and joined Pelayo to win/podium multiple Hyrox Doubles events; eventually taking 6th place overall in the Mixed Doubles division of the World Championships.
Although some of the newer Hyrox coaches on this list, Pelayo and his wife have been competing and coaching in the endurance world (especially Ironman/Triathlon) for a very long time. As is typical with people in this space, their methods are very methodical and within their programming you will find there is a lot of attention to detail. From what heart-rate zones your running should be, what watts you should hold on the ski-erg through to technique work on how to lunge or pick-up dumbbells, there’s some really impressively thought-out details included for athletes.
An example week would include multiple running sessions, a session for each ERG, two strength sessions with hyrox-style workouts afterwards, and a longer Hyrox-specific endurance session.

ROX LYFE – Greg Williams & Paul Gillingham
Are there two more passionate and enthusiastic members of the Hyrox community than Greg Williams and Paul Gillingham? Both Greg and Paul have qualified for multiple Hyrox World Championships, competed in dozens of Hyrox events all around the world and massively improved their own Hyrox times (Greg by over 20 minutes!). They are both Hyrox Ambassadors and Greg owns the hugely popular ROX LYFE website, which is by far the largest online resource for Hyrox training and information.
Unlike many of the programs on this list, the Rox Lyfe training plan is a set 12-weeks of training designed to be picked up ahead of your next race (although, of course, you can work your way through it if you don’t have a race coming up). This means that tests are built into the plan and each week builds on the last; with the goal of having you ready to perform your best on race day.
In terms of style, you’ll find a well-rounded mix of strength training, running workouts, circuit training and Hyrox-specific simulations. For each workout in the plan, there are notes about the aim of the session and options in terms of duration/intensity so that you can scale up/down based on your current fitness level. Training is provided for 5 days of the week and within that there’s number of optional workouts should you wish to boost your overall volume. Equally, there’s the ability to scale things back to 4 days should you need to.
On the ROX LYFE website, there’s a large number of testimonials from athletes who have successfully completed the plan and set new PBs, which reassures you that you can achieve the same if you put in the work.

The Hyrox Plan – Jake Dearden
I don’t see this program talked about too often considering it’s offered by the UK’s Hyrox Master Coach (and phenomenal athlete) Jake Dearden. Simply called ‘The Hyrox Plan’, Jake has teamed up with renowned CrossFit coach Jonathan Bullough to provide a very well thought out and intelligent program for Hyrox athletes.
For those who don’t know, Jake is the reigning male Doubles Hyrox World Champion (with Marc Dean) and last season won Hyrox New York City. He has also done some amazing (crazy?) things such as run 11 Hyrox events in a single weekend for Macmillan Cancer Support.
With Jake and Jonathan’s programming, you will find a wide array of sessions that lean on the latest science and has been proven in competition by Jake’s results. EMOM style workouts are popular to build capacity, things such as every 3 minutes a certain run distance and amount of wall balls (for example), well-tested running progressions coming from Jake who is aiming for a sub-2:30 marathon, and then strength sessions that have been refined to build the strength and power required to be a successful Hyrox athlete (and have seen some of Jonathon’s athletes make the CrossFit Games as well).
The Hyrox Plan’s WhatsApp community is very active, with Jake and Jonathon quickly replying to members, encouraging them when needed, and offering advice/clarification.

MD Coaching – Marc Dean
Marc Dean is the reigning Doubles World Champion with Jake Dearden. Marc’s programming is particularly heavy on the running and Hyrox simulation style sessions, so if that’s part of your game that you need to work on this program could be a good fit for you. Watching Marc’s videos on Instagram, the guy is an absolute machine and has been inspiring a lot of people with his recent performances.
The base program offers athletes 4 Hyrox specific and strength sessions that may see you working higher-rep strength work or moving between sled pulls and running to build your ability to run/pull sleds in a fatigued state. The running sessions on top are always varied and I know Marc particularly likes hill AMRAPs to build your leg strength and ability to produce power whilst fatiqued.
Marc’s WhatsApp Group is busy and full of banter. He is always quick to respond to members, so if you enjoy being part of a lively community this could be a good fit.

Hyrox Strong – Ryan Gibney
Although a lot of athletes come into Hyrox needing to improve their running, there’s no doubt that strength plays an important role in the sport; especially as you get more competitive. If you look at Elites such as Megan Jacoby, Lauren Weeks, Michael Sandbach, Graham Halliday, Hunter McIntyre, etc. these athletes all have impressive squats and presses.
Michael Sandbach is known as being one of the strongest athletes in all of Hyrox, but it’s the way he is able to harness this level of strength and still move and run well that sees him be so successful. Michael gives a lot of the credit for this combination of strength and agility to his strength coach, Ryan Gibney.
For those looking to improve their strength and power, Ryan has developed a range of programs called ‘Hyrox Strong’. Each of these programs uses the conjugate system of switching through different exercises and physical effort levels to develop raw strength and explosive power. Exercises will vary between heavy efforts, speed work with resistance bands or light weights, and relevant accessory work. This system seems to work particularly well for Hyrox athletes where being able to push a 202kg/152kg sled is as important as being able to quickly and explosively squat and throw a 9kg/6kg wall ball.
Something important to note with Ryan’s Programming is that he has taken into consideration the time demands of a Hyrox athlete and so the programs are designed in a way that you will be able to fit them into your week and recover. Whereas you could Google a conjugate program and come up with 4-6 days worth of programming that will take 60-90 minutes a time, Ryan’s programming is 2-3 days a week and can be done in 45-75 minutes. The exercises are also carefully selected to benefit Hyrox specifically.

Marchon Training – Machon
Marchon is one of the first ‘brands’ or ‘teams’ to come into the Hyrox space. In CrossFit, very few athletes offer coaching. Instead, you have ‘brands’ or ‘teams’ such as CompTrain, PRVN, Mayhem, MisFit Athletics, Invictus, HWPO, etc providing group training to athletes. The Marchon team has a huge following and has been making waves in the Hybrid/Functional Fitness space with their high quality content and popular line of products.
Marchon offer an array of different programs, but their main offering to Hyrox athletes is their daily programming option or their 12-week Hyrox prep option. As it sounds, the daily program offers you a rolling program that you follow along with hundreds of other members whilst the 12-week prep is designed to be done in the 12 weeks leading up to an event. Both programs will have you training 5 times a week and have a fairly set structure. Roughly, this is your upper/lower body strength work and muscular endurance being at the start of the week, with your running, simulation and endurance work coming in from the middle to end of the week.
Whenever I’m at a Hyrox event, there’s always a lot of Marchon clothing on display. Clearly, people are proud to be part of this team and are enjoying the programming Marchon is offering.

LukeFit – Lukas Storath
Lukas Storath was the first ever Hyrox World Champion, the first ever athlete to complete a Hyrox in under an hour, is current holder of the Hyrox PFT World Record and former Hyrox Mixed Doubles World Record too. In recent years, Lukas has spent his time coaching people both online and through his Hyrox Training Camps, but made an impressive comeback in 2023/2024: quickly qualifying for the Elite 15. Few people have had the ability to work with as many athletes as Lukas and as such I believe he is very well placed to train people across a range of different abilities and according to their goals.
Lukas has a strong belief in getting athletes very strong and capable with the basic movements and then pushing their performance levels from there. He has a strong background in endurance sports, but has transitioned into a much more explosive athlete himself as a result of Hyrox. As you will see from his Instagram pictures, these days he’s pretty jacked – far from the slim build many triathletes have! This background in endurance and experience growing himself as a more explosive athlete means he has knowledge across all aspects of cardio, strength and functional movements. I also really like that Lukas promotes the importance of not being overly Hyrox specific with all your training – i.e. pushing sleds is not the only way to get better at pushing sleds and thrusters replace wallballs in much of his training.
Lukas seems like a really fun guy. Much of his online content is in German, but he coaches people in multiple languages (English included). Lukas offers individualised coaching and makes a point of getting to know his clients personally so that he can train them physically, but also help build their mental state. In addition, he has structured 4 to 12 week plans available through the Fitr platform. Even when not competing, Lukas is often seen around Hyrox events speaking with athletes.

Ciaran Parkinson has taken his time building himself up in the Hyrox Open division, where he has held the British record for the fastest time ever. In his Pro debut, Ciaran landed a time of 1:03.14 and has his sights firmly set on sub-60 in the 2024/2025 season.
Ciaran is an incredible runner. His zone 2 paces are close to other athletes’ interval paces and the speed he does his intervals are mind blowing at times. What I find exciting about Ciaran is that he is always improving as an athlete and so his method of training clearly works.
Ciaran has a very active Instagram page and shares a lot of tips about how to train for the sport and his own sessions as well, so you can get a good feel for the kind of person he is and the workouts he puts his athletes through. I think with Ciaran you’re going to get a very friendly and experienced coach who will challenge you with a good mixture of running, strength training and hybrid endurance / circuit work.

WDM Coaching – Aaron Woodman
Aaron is a Hyrox Open GB record holder who has also competed in the Pro division with an impressive time of 56:35. Aaron has solidified himself as a popular coach here in the UK and holds a BSc in Strength and Conditioning, and UK Athletics Level 2 Endurance Coach certification.
Aaron has a strong running background with a 2:24 marathon time, but his stations have been increasingly impressive too. I’ve come to see Aaron as someone who believes strongly in building an aerobic base, whilst recognising the importance of being able to hold that ‘suffering’ state whilst compromised.
As such, a lot of his workouts seem brutally simple. Beyond your running, strength and erg progressions you will see regular compromised running work such as 4 minutes of running followed by 2 minutes of station work to get you used to the feeling of those transitions between runs and stations.
Knowing a few people who train with Aaron, I know he has very strong relationships with his athletes, a strong team dynamic, and brutally simple, but effective programming.

Hyrox Partner Programs (FiiT and RUNNA)
Before Hyrox went into partnership with FiiT and RUNNA, they had a .PDF on their website that was a very good introduction to Hyrox Training. However, this was removed from their website at the end of last season as Hyrox begin to point people towards their partner training suppliers.
FiiT is sort of like the Peloton of functional fitness. It feels like it’s in its early stages and still growing, but when you sign up, you are given loads of different classes that range across all kinds of training styles and fitness levels. Most of what you’ll find is circuit-based HIIT workouts. This platform certainly isn’t geared towards someone who wants to podium in Hyrox, but if you’re entering your first event and keen to get fit in the comfort of your own home then this will certainly get you started. It’s also very, very affordable.
RUNNA is a pretty cool little running app that builds a program based on your running goals. Funnily enough, there’s not actually a Hyrox plan, or even OCR plan, but there are multiple plans to improve your 10km or half-marathon times, which most people agree are the distances with most carry-over to Hyrox. I think RUNNA is actually a great option for a strength or CrossFit athlete that doesn’t want to give up their current training, but wants to add running on top. It’s also very affordable if you can’t afford a coach.

I would just like to finish by saying that I think all of these coaches are capable of getting you to where you want to be in the sport of Hyrox. Their methods are tried and tested. It’s all about about finding the one you best connect with and which has a training style that suits you as an athlete.
